David Muir, an American journalist and anchor of the ABC News magazine 20, is known best as the anchor of World News Tonight With David Muir. The program, which is characterized by its dramatic videos, celebrity news and animated gestures is now the most watched newscast in America. Made In America, his Emmy nominated show, is one of his other contributions. Before joining ABC World News Tonight, he served as the primary substitute for his predecessor Diane Sawyer. His primetime reports with ABC News include Breaking Point: Heroin in America, Flashpoint Refugees and America. He's traveled the world, covering news in Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti & the Gulf of Mexico. He has been awarded multiple Emmy Awards Edward R.
