Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She is an American Mexican actress. Also, she sings. Her family was home-schooled by her mother in the USA. Her childhood was filled with racist insults, she was felt unloved. If she attended school contests and received the highest praise for her singing at the age of 9, the girl began to feel more confident. Not only did it boost her confidence, but also her goals changed. She graduated from the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. When she was 23, her first Broadway show with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut film, You've Got Mail were both her big break. But her biggest break came when she appeared in the part in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway production of Spamalot receiving not just an award called the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. The following year, she joined the ABC series Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider acceptance for the role. Also, she is a well-known artist and produced an extended show. As an activist, she is a tireless advocate in the cause of LGBT equality.
